Mr. Corrie

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he is satisfied with the way the Housing (Homeless Persons) Act is being operated in Scotland; and whether he will issue further guidelines to local authorities in Scotland on the interpretation of the Act.

Mr. Hugh D. Brown:

My right hon. Friend is reviewing the operation of the Act, in consultation with the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities, and will issue further guidance to local authorities as seems necessary.

Mr. David Steel

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will issue a Scottish code of guidance on the Housing (Homeless Persons) Act.
