asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many applications have been received from voluntary bodies for financial assistance under Section 13 (1) of the Housing (Homeless Persons) Act 1977.

No organisation has yet made a formal application to my right hon. Friend but I am aware that a number are considering doing so.
