HC Deb 09 November 1977 vol 938 cc143-4W
31. Mr. Temple-Morris

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what is the present situation with the Namibia talks between South Africa and the five Western Security Council Powers; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Rowlands:

After the latest rounds of talks with the South African Government and with the South West Africa People's Organisation there are still some major problems. The Five Power Contact Group will continue to use its good offices to seek to resolve them.
