§ Sir Bernard Braineasked the Secretary of State for the Environment when he expects the Nature Conservancy Council to publish its expected interim statement on the complete evidence concerning the survival of otters in the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. Denis HowellA joint working group of the Nature Conservancy Council and the Society for the Promotion of Nature Conservation is at present assessing the status of the otter and the possible need for conservation measures. The group proposes to submit a draft report to its governing bodies next month. It is then intended to publish the report and to discuss further action with organisations and individuals concerned with the conservation of otters.
