asked the Secretary of State for Energy whether he has considered the recommendations contained in the Third Report of the Select Committee on Nationalised Industries relating to tariff structures of the CEGB and the Gas Council; and if he will make a statement.

The Government are still considering this report as well as the recent reports by my hon. Friend the Member for Widnes (Mr. Oakes) and by the National Consumer Council.
