Mr. Wigley

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will consider more favourably in the current year the request by the Welsh Centre for International Affairs for a grant of £50,000 to match the sum raised towards the Welsh Centre Appeal.

Mr. Rowlands

Any application from the Welsh Centre for International Affairs for a grant from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office will be considered on its merits and in the light of claims by other outside bodies on Foreign and Commonwealth Office resources.
