§ Mr. John FraserEstimates of the numbers of employees in employment in local areas are made for June each year and the most recent figures are for June 1973. From 1971 the estimates have been obtained from the Annual Censuses of Employment. Previously they were based on counts of national insurance cards. The figures are subject to sampling errors and little significance should be attached to small changes from one year to another.
