Additionally, during the same three-year period assistance has been given to three parliamentary groups, from a programme for encouraging European links, at a cost of £1,692 as a contribution towards their total visit costs. Visits under these arrangements were made to France in 1973 and to the German Federal Republic and Ireland in 1974. The timings of these visits and the selection of participants were a matter for the groups themselves.
