HC Deb 04 August 1975 vol 897 cc51-2W
Mr. Neubert

asked the Secretary of State for Trade when he expects to complete his appointments to the Air Travel Reserve Fund Agency; and whether they will include a representative of shipping interests in relation to fly-cruises.

Mr. Deakins

Membership of the Agency was completed by the appointment of the three further members and for as many months of this year for which figures are available.

Mr. Deakins

The figures show some improvement in the first half of 1975 in the crude balances with Poland and Romania, while the balance with Czechoslovakia has not changed much from its 1974 level.

The figures are as follows:

announced on 18th July. The members are not appointed to represent particular interests in the travel business. The Air Travel Reserve Fund Act requires the members of the agency to include persons representative of the interests of persons engaged in the provision of travel facilities, and three of the members are representative of those interests.
