HC Deb 13 November 1974 vol 881 cc152-3W
Mr. Jopling

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what action he intends to take on the present liquidity problems of British agriculture, in view of the fact that lending to agriculture has increased by £140 million in the last six months in order to meet working capital requirements.

Mr. Bishop

We have taken measures in recent months to inject nearly £300 million into the agricultural industry. My right hon. Friend will be seeking further action on the beef market at the Council of Ministers on 18th November.
