Mr. Kenneth Clarke

asked the Minister of Overseas Development what proposals the British Government have made to the European Economic Community about the future scale of EEC aid to Palestinian refugees.

None. The British Government are sympathetically studying proposals that have been put forward by the Commission, and which are currently under discussion with the other member States. These proposals are designed to help UNWRA over its present financial difficulties.
