§ Mr. Carter-Jonesasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what further representations she has received from the Association of Parents of Vaccine Damaged Children; if she will now consider some type of interim payment for vaccine-damaged children in advance of the report of the Royal Commission on Civil Liability and Compensation for Personal Injury; and if she will make a statement.
§ Dr. OwenNo further representations have been received from the Association of Parents of Vaccine Damaged Children since my right hon. Friend and I met its chairman on 6th May. As I explained at that meeting, the Royal Commission on Compensation and Civil Liability is considering the question of compensation and we must await its views. I understand that the association is submitting evidence and my Department will be doing so as well.
