§ Mr. FreesonMy information is that most tenants, including pensioners, eligible for rent rebates are now receiving them. The take-up of rent allowances is less satisfactory and I am mounting a campaign in co-operation with local authorities to seek to improve this. I am also investigating the use of canvassers for the same purpose. I shall not be content until take-up is high for both rent rebates and allowances.
