Mr. Bruce-Gardyne

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will list in the OFFICIAL REPORT all additions to public expenditure announced since his Budget Statement.

The following table sets out additions to public expenditure announced since the Budget:

contribution made to the county council or the Northampton District Council in recognition of the special circumstances, in order to permit a rate reduction in this respect to be effective for the second half of the current financial year.

I have been asked to reply.

Any such contribution, which would be subject to my right hon. Friend's approval, would normally be financed by an Exchequer loan under the terms of the New Towns Act 1965.
