HC Deb 18 July 1974 vol 877 cc261-2W
Mr. Arthur Jones

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, in view of the rate burden falling upon ratepayers in North-amptonshire as a result of four town expansion schemes in the county, if he will ensure reimbursement to the Northampton Development Corporation of any

journeys. When the cars are used for private or party purposes they are charged 7.7p. per mile. The basis of charge is what the journey would have cost if the Minister had travelled in his own car, as represented by the mileage rate paid to civil servants who use their private motor cars on official business. Nothing is included for the cost of the driver.
