asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the total amount of central funds given towards the construction of new housing accommodation within the county borough of Warley for the period 1966 to the latest available date.

The housing subsidies paid to the county borough of Warley from 1966–67 to 1971–72 in respect of the provision of new dwellings were as follows:

Subsidies payable to the credit of the housing revenue account, including rent rebate subsidy, under the Housing Finance 1972 are related to deficits in the account and not specifically to the provision of new dwellings. The amounts paid to Warley to date are as follows:
