§ 24. Mr. Grayasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will consider extending the remit of the Highlands and Islands Development Board in order that it may give greater assistance to service industries.
§ Mr. MillanThe Highlands and Islands Development Board's remit already enables it to assist service industries, to which it has given substantial loan and grant assistance. I am not aware of any case in this field in which the board has found itself inhibited by an absence of powers.
