§ Mr. Ovendenasked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection if she will introduce legislation to control the practice of making lettings of new mobile home sites conditional on the purchase of new accommodation and to regulate fees charged for transferring mobile homes and for the connection of such units to services.
§ Mr. FreesonI have been asked to reply.
The practices to which my hon. Friend refers are among those which will, I 507W hope, be covered by the model site contract at present being discussed by representatives of site operators and mobile home residents. My right hon. Friend would, of course, need to study how effectively such a contract covers these practices; if however, agreement is unduly delayed, he will certainly be prepared to consider what other initiatives might prove useful.
