asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many improvement grants have been approved at 75 per cent. for which work has not yet been completed in Scotland.

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will seek powers to allow the costs of connection from a dwelling-house to the main sewer to qualify for a grant in housing improvement grants.

Local authorities already have discretion to approve for grant the whole or part of the cost of providing a proper drainage system for a house.
