Figures of investment grant payments are not available in the form requested. During the financial years 1967–68, 1968–69 and 1969–70, £207 million was paid in respect of capital expenditure on plant and machinery, computers and mining works in the North-West Region. £86.6 million was paid in 1970–71, but no regional analysis is available for later years.

During these periods the coverage of the assisted areas in the North West changed considerably.
