Mr. Judd

asked the Minister of State for Defence whether he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT details of the proportion of total use time devoted to private clubs and non-Service personnel on the Tipner firing range in Portsmouth during each of the past 12 months.

The proportion of days in each month on which the range was used by private clubs and non-Service personnel was as follows:

1972 per cent.

1973

April 14
May 19
June 19

This represents an average over the year of 16 per cent. Most non-Service use takes place at weekends.
