§ Mr. Mulleyasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he has yet assessed the results of his publicity campaign to increase the wearing of car seat belts; if he has considered the requirement of the fitting in the vehicle of a buzzer or other device to alert drivers to the need to fasten their seat belts; and if he will make a statement of further measures proposed in the furtherance of road safety.
§ Mr. PeytonI will make a final assessment after the campaign ends. I am consulting interested organisations about means of intensifying the use of seat belts including those referred to in this Question.
