§ Mr. EyreIn the near future, my right hon. Friend intends to send out a circular to local authorities urging them, where they do not already do so, to give their tenants the opportunity of buying their houses. I am convinced that if authorities examine the question on its merits they will find it possible to meet the reasonable desires of the tenants who want to buy their houses without prejudicing the position of people in less favourable housing conditions.
