§ 36. Mr. Pounderasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how much overtime has been worked in the first five months of 1972 by members of the 190W Royal Ulster Constabulary; and how this compares with the corresponding period in 1971.
§ Mr. David HowellThe Royal Ulster Constabulary is loyally performing long and arduous hours of duty. During the period stated, an average of 90 hours per month of overtime was worked by those members of the RUC who qualify for overtime payment. The corresponding figure in 1971 was approximately 65 hours per month.
§ Mr. Kilfedderasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whether any complaints have been received since January, 1971, about the higher direction of the Royal Ulster Constabulary in the City of Londonderry.
§ Mr. ChannonMy right hon. Friend is not aware that any such complaints have been received.
