37. Mr. Rose

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whether he will ensure that all persons formally detained under the Special Powers Act will be treated for social security purposes as all other persons entitled or otherwise in Northern Ireland.

Self-employed or non-employed contributions in respect of periods of internment or detention are being paid by the Ministry of Home Affairs for those persons who are released without penalty.
