The unemployment figures relate to the numbers of males registered as unemployed who last worked in the construction industry. Figures for January are available for each year back to 1966 but not for earlier years. Employment estimates for local areas are made for each mid-year and the latest are for June, 1969. The numbers of males registered as unemployed who last worked in construction have been expressed as percentages of the estimated numbers of male employees, employed and unemployed.
