asked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) what is his estimate of the effect of the abolition of housing subsidies upon council house rents in the Saddleworth Urban District;

(2) what is his estimate of the effect of the abolition of housing subsidies upon council house rents in the Holmfirth Urban District;

(3) what is his estimate of the effect of the abolition of housing subsidies upon council house rents in the Meltham Urban District;

(4) what is his estimate of the effect of the abolition of housing subsidies upon council house rents in the Denby Dale Urban District;

(5) what is his estimate of the effect of the abolition of housing subsidies upon council house rents in the Colne Valley Urban District.

(2) what is his estimate of the effect of the abolition of housing subsidies upon council house rents in the Castleford borough;

(3) what is his estimate of the effect of the abolition of housing subsidies upon council house rents in the Featherstone Urban District Council.

The plans for the reform of housing finance outlined in the statement which my right hon. Friend made on 3rd November will need to be discussed with the local authority associations before the effect on individual authorities can be assessed.
