HC Deb 04 November 1970 vol 805 c362W
Mr. Frank Allaun

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on the recent meeting between his officials and the Trades Union Congress regarding the legislation to deal with labour-only subcontracting.

Mr. Amery

I met representatives of the T.U.C. on 4th September. They suggested that legislation on the lines of the former Construction Industry Contracts Bill was required to deal with problems arising from labour-only sub-contracting by self-employed construction industry workers and subsequently submitted a memorandum in support of this view.
