§ Mr. AlisonMy right hon. Friend authorises the total amount of accommodation and services to be made available for private patients at particular hospitals and has no information as to the proportion of it that may be at the disposal of surgeons at any particular time.
There are 337 beds authorised for private patients in hospitals of the Birmingham Regional Hospital Board and 106 in the United Birmingham Hospitals. The figures at December, 1965, were 508 and 119 respectively.
