HC Deb 14 May 1970 vol 801 c337W
60. Sir B. Janner

asked the President of the Board of Trade what regulations apply to the flying of kites which are dangerous to aeroplanes; and what steps are taken to bring them to the notice of the younger members of the population.

Mr. Goronwy Roberts:

Under the provisions of Article 61(1) of the Air Navigation Order 1966 a kite may not be flown at a height of more than 200 feet above the ground level or within three miles of an aerodrome without the permission in writing of the Board; no special steps have been taken to bring these regulations to the notice of the younger members of the population.
