§ 41. Mr. Bidwellasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government (1) when he expects tenders to be approved by the London Borough of Brent for the 1970 housing programme of 2,000 dwellings notified to him when his Joint Parliamentary Secretary met council representatives in February;
(2) what proposals he has received from the London Borough of Brent to increase its housing programme in 1971 and subsequent years; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Freeson:The council now expects to put 1,018 dwellings to tender in 1970, many of which are backlog from previous programmes. For 1971 it now expects 1,400 dwellings to be put to tender, mostly backlog from 1969 to 1970 programmes. I understand that it does not at present propose any further building after that.
