§ Mr. Speedasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will list the gross domestic product, at constant prices and seasonally adjusted, quarterly from 1958 to the latest convenient date, using the income, expenditure and output methods, respectively, and the average of the three and if he will compare these with 297W the relevant National Plan forecasts for the period 1964 to 1970.
§ Mr. William RodgersThe hon. Member will find the expenditure and output estimates of gross domestic product at factor cost at constant prices and seasonally adjusted quarterly from 1958 to 1968 in the October issue of Economic Trends and for the first three quarters of 1969 in the January issue (Tables A and C), copies of which are in the Library. The income estimate and the average of the three are given in the table below. The average estimate shows an average annual increase of 2.1 per cent. between 1964 and 1969, based on the first three quarters, seasonally adjusted at annual rates. The National Plan, which related to the slightly differently defined aggregate of gross national product at market prices, showed an average annual increase of 3.8 per cent. between 1964 and 1970.
