HC Deb 06 March 1970 vol 797 c186W
Dr. Winstanley

asked the President of the Board of Trade what is the average age of the members of the Prevention of Fraud (Investments) Tribunal; what are the ages of the youngest and the oldest members of the tribunal; and what provision exists for the removal of members from the tribunal on the grounds of age or incapacity.

Mrs. Gwyneth Dunwoody

The average age of the members is 64. The youngest is 60 and the oldest 67. A member is appointed for a specified period, currently three years, at the end of which he either ceases to be a member or is re-appointed.
