Appointments are made for a limited term, so the question of removal on grounds of age does not arise. The Board of Trade can declare a member's office vacant if it is satisfied that he has been absent from meetings of the Air Transport Licensing Board without permission for more than six months; has become bankrupt or made an arrangement with his creditors; or has by reason of illness of any other cause become unable or unfit to act as a member.
