§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will give for a man and wife whose earned income is £17,500 per annum the amount of tax and surtax payable at the present and on 1st January, 1971; what it will be after April next on the implementation of the tax reduction as proposed by the recent mini-Budget; and if he will give similar details for a couple on £20,000 per annum.
