§ Mr. Rees-Daviesasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) whether he will institute an inquiry into the licensing laws with a view to legislation to provide licensees the opportunity to select their own hours within the permitted number of hours of opening;
(2) whether he will draw the attention of magistrates to their powers to provide wider amenities in licensed premises, in particular for the family of all ages to attend licensed premises if the licensee will provide suitable accommodation for that purpose.
