Passenger Transport Authorities

Mr. Edward M. Taylor

asked the Minister of Transport what estimate he has made of the increased efficiency which has been achieved by the establishment of passenger transport authorities.

Mr. Bob Brown:

It is far too early yet to judge the performance of the passenger transport authorities and their executives. But I am encouraged that they are tackling actively the complex public transport problems of the conurbations.
