asked the Minister of Transport what changes in fare levels will be necessary in 1970 to take account of the recent changes in terms and conditions of employees in the bus industry.

Mr. Bob Brown:

It is too early to estimate what the effects of these changes will be on fare levels.

asked the Minister of Transport what has been the percentage increase in average bus fares per passenger mile between 1966 and 1969.

Mr. Bob Brown:

There has been an overall average increase in stage service fares of approximately 8.5 per cent, between 1966 and 1969. Information relating fares increases to passenger mileage is not available.
