§ 37. Mrs. Joyce Butlerasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will introduce regulations to ensure that farmers using intensive methods of stock rearing obtain planning approval to ensure that adequate arrangements for the disposal of farm effluents are made.
226W
§ Mr. K. RobinsonMost buildings for intensive stock rearing require planning permission because of their size. Arrangements for the disposal of effluents can be a material consideration in deciding planning applications for such buildings. I am considering in consultation with my right hon. Friend, the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether any further steps could usefully be taken.
