HC Deb 11 February 1969 vol 777 c281W
Mr. Leslie Huckfield

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he is aware that 58 out of 63 of the members of the various hospital management committees in the Birmingham Regional Hospital Board's area have been reappointed; and if he will advise regional hospital boards to ensure that in making appointments to hospital management committees they should nominate a higher proportion of persons who have not previously served on the committees.

Mr. Crossman

The figures are 59 out of 64 members appointed to those hospital management committees which are not being regrouped at 1st April. The total membership of these committees is being reduced by 19 and this leaves less scope than usual for bringing in new members.
