Mr. Grant

asked the Minister of Transport (1) what has been the year by year expenditure on roads in inner London, the old London County Council area, since 1946 by central Government and by local government on major improvements and new construction and on minor improvements and maintenance, respectively; and what are the estimates for expenditure in 1966–67, 1967–68, 1968–69 and 1969–70, respectively;

(2) 'what has been the year by year expenditure on roads in Greater London since 1946, or for the closest comparable area from 1946 to 1965, by central Government and by local government on major improvements and new construction and on minor improvements and maintenance, respectively; and what are the estimates for expenditure in 1966–67, 1967–68, 1968–69 and 1969–70, respectively.
