§ Mr. SwinglerThe last major reclassication of highways took place in 1946 when the Class III road system was introduced. As stated in reply to the hon. Member's Question of 28th June, classification of individual roads is adjusted on 1st April each year on the specific application of local highway authorities. The classification of highways is therefore under continual review.
