Mr. Barnett

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will provide a list of Boy Scout Associations which have received Government grants in each of the past five years together with the amounts of such grant.

During the past 5 years the Department have offered the following grants towards the headquarters administration and training expenses of the Boy Scouts Association:

1962–63 10,000
1963–64 15,000
1964–65 15,000
1965–66 15,000

In addition, grants are made to a large number of local Associations. If my hon. Friend is interested in any particular local Association I will try to have the relevant information extracted and sent to him.
