§ 58. Mr. Onslowasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what action he is taking 139W to protect the interests of British pensioners resident in New Zealand, in view of the failure to negotiate a new double taxation agreement between Her Majesty's Government and the Government of New Zealand.

In the meantime, though pensions from this country received by residents in New Zealand will now be liable to United Kingdom tax, I understand that, in general, double taxation relief will be given in New Zealand.
