§ Mr. CallaghanLocal authorities can already borrow some of the finance they need from the Public Works Loan Board at favourable rates. My right hon. Friend the Minister of Housing and Local Government said on 29th April that the rôle of Exchequer finance within the framework of a national housing policy is under consideration.
