§ Mr. Woodnuttasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will state the composition of local valuation panels in England and Wales, and the proportion represented by elected members of local authorities.
§ Mr. MacCollIn April 1963, 437 members of local valuation panels were members of a county council, while 941 were members of a rating authority; 327 others were members of both a county council and a rating authority. 884 were not local authority members. The proportion of all valuation panel members who were also elected members of local authorities was 66 per cent.
