HC Deb 23 July 1963 vol 681 cc150-1W
50. Mrs. Butler

asked the Parliamentary Secretary for Science what consideration has been given by his Department to the need for regulations requiring radioactive materials in transit in package form to be wrapped in readily distinguishable material.

Mr. Denzil Freeth

Regulations or other requirements have been issued, or are being prepared, governing the carriage of radioactive substances by all forms of transport. These require packages to be distinctively labelled in a prescribed manner unless the quanity of radioactive material is trivial.
