asked the Lord Privy Seal how many members of the United Nations voted in favour of the resolution, proposed by India and other nations in the Economic and Financial Committee of the General Assembly, proposing an increase in financial and technical assistance to the underdeveloped countries to an amount equalling 1 per cent. of the national income of the industrially-developed countries; and how the British delegate voted.

The resolution to which the right hon. Gentleman refers was unanimously adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations with 87 votes in favour, including that of the United Kingdom.
