asked the Lord Privy Seal whether it is now the policy of Her Majesty's Government to join the Intergovernmental Committee for European Migration; and whether he will make a statement.

Yes, Sir. On 2nd December, 1960, the United Kingdom observer at the Thirteenth Session of the Intergovernmental Committee for European Migration informed the Committee that, subject to Parliamentary approval of the costs involved, Her Majesty's Government intend to apply for membership at the fourteenth session of the Committee, which begins on 11th May.
