§ 60. Mr. Masonasked the Prime Minister whether the Anglo-American Declassification Committee is still empowered to delay announcements of the progress of Zero Energy Thermonuclear Assembly, Mark I, and the developments of Zero Energy Thermonuclear Assembly, Mark II; to what extent the Government have considered reviewing the restrictions in this field; and whether he is satisfied they are not causing undue embarrassment to the scientists and engineers employed on these projects.
§ The Prime MinisterThere are no restrictions on the announcement of the results of current experimental work in the field of controlled thermonuclear reactions; the answer to the last part of the Question is, therefore, in the affirmative.
